2016 Medicare Changes

You May be Paying More For Coverage.

CMS has announced the 2016 premiums and deductibles for Medicare Parts A and B. Most people with Medicare Part B will not see an increase in premiums in 2016 and will pay the same as last year.

However, those new to Medicare in 2016 will pay the new
increased Part B premium.

Part A annual deductibles have also changed.

Part A annual deductibles are $1,288 and Part B is now $166.

There have been no changes in the 10 standard Medicare Supplement plan for now. Compare Plan F to Plan G. The only difference in benefits between the two is with a Plan G, you pay the Part B deductible, $166. There can be significant differences in the monthly premium between a Plan F and Plan G.
